Passover meal at church

March 20, 2010

Scott and I have never had an opportunity to attend a passover meal back in the US, so when a Jews for Jesus missionary was booked to come to our church in Bourne we jumped at the chance.

After our trip to Israel this past fall (our #1 trip of our European experience), both of us have a much more focused understanding of our christian relationship with both the Jews and to the land of Israel. That made this meal even more special.

We were fortunate enough to even sit near the speaker during the main meal and really enjoyed the discussions. We ended with a lively Jewish circle dance. It was fantastic to have such a moving celebration with our church family here. What a wonderful evening!

Visiting the family tree... Tattershall Castle

March 14, 2010
Mothers day is celebrated on a different day than it is in the US. So for our UK mother's day Jeanne requested to all go to Tattershall castle. Jeanne had taken Lawrence and Saralee there last summer and discovered that there was a family tree connection!
The Bradstreet's were some of the first settlers from Boston, UK to Boston. And Simon Bradstreet helped manage the Tattershall castle.

Anyway, it was a fun though brisk day to climb this imposing castle. The surrounding countryside is flat flat flat! So this massive structure really stands out!

Legally Blonde!

March 7, 2010

Jeanne and Madison joined in a group of Caterpillar spouses, caught a train to London for a GIRLS day out!

We went to the Palm steakhouse in London for a WONDERFUL American-style steak! YUM YUM!

And then we ended the day with the musical Legally Blonde. Such a fun show! It truly was a wonderful day spent with some wonderful ladies! Although this picture is only of two others (my good friends Sarah on the left and Kim on the right), our group actually was a lot larger...19! I just didn't get a picture of everyone...

We are blessed.
